We would recommend the Levin and Perconti Law firm and especially this team. Failing to provide privacy and dignity to residents, leaving residents’ private areas exposed with curtains open and door ajar while waiting on other care staff to address wound care issues. Lack of adequate staffing led to unsupervised residents that are listed as high risk for falls, leaving them alone long enough for them to fall and be found sitting on their bottom, landing him in the ER.
Care Settings
The plaintiff, who died during the course of the litigation, alleged that staff was inadequately trained to treat him and did not properly care for his stump where the previous amputation was done. Each of the three cases was filed under the qui tam provisions in the False Claims Act, which are also known as the whistleblower provisions. These provisions allow private individuals to file a lawsuit on behalf of the government’s interests and claim a portion of any funds recovered from the false claims. The False Claims Act also allows the government to intervene in these types of lawsuits, which is what has occurred in this case. The accident happened at the facility along Foulk Road in Talleyville around 9 a.m.

After I read Jonathan’s Nursing Home Blog, I decided to hire him to look into my wife’s treatment at a local nursing home. Jonathan did a great job explaining the process and the laws that apply to nursing homes.
